Today marks the 41st anniversary of the assassination of Turkish diplomat Galip Balkar. On March 9, 1983, Balkar was savagely killed in Belgrade by ASALA terrorist militants, part of a wave of attacks targeting Turkish officials abroad, straining international relations and deepening tensions.
