Kava-kava in the UK

I want to experiment with Kava-Kava. Unfortunately, it's banned in the UK (presumably because it's an affordable alternative to the antidepressants that GPs give out like M&Ms). Does anyone in the UK use it? If so, which website do you buy it from? Thanks.
