Anyone else picture the characters completely different than described?

I watched Legacies, the Vampire Diaries spin off, a few years ago and there is a vampire named Kaleb who is a black man with longer hair and I can’t stop picturing him as Caleb! Even though he’s described as having blond curly hair! I also picture Seth as a blonde hair surfer bro type.
