There are objective ways to play reptiles but that's not fun and you don't buy a puzzle to look at them. This concludes the days sermon.
Some may recall a previous list that ran a bunch of snakes. I've corrected issues with that list, and removed Ryu-Ge as sadly it just wasn't working out. Its not them, its me. The main idea of this build is to play snakes but also make use of, as much as possible, all the joys of Mitsurugi. Some will tell you to mix Ryzeal into them. They're right, but this is also like adding purple flames to your car to make it look more "sick nasty". Of course it will. We all know that. Its not exciting or inventive.
Reddit has been really stupid as of late so if things seem funky, they are. This is reddit. Its not a quality website no matter how much money Google threw away for its data. Bear with me as I try.

| Keurse, the Ogdoadic Light | 1 | Basically any level 8 reptile as shown will be useful to Daybreak so if you cannot, or do not wish to hit Overlord fear not, just enjoy one less token. Sometimes its a tactical advantage. Best target for summon effect is Nauya, or a Saji whose effect you've not used yet, or a Kunsanagi, whose effect hasn't been used yet (and there is an applicable card in the GY) |
| Zohah, the Ogdoadic Boundless | 1 | There's a strat where you send him to the GY, make King, search for Alasia. You can then equip this dude to her. Make Sprind, send Plague, it'll summon itself. Plague + Alasia = Arms, and then you can benefit from Zohahs GY effect. |
| Nauya, the Ogdoadic Remnant | 3 | You send Nunu. |
| Nuun, the Ogdoadic Remnant | 3 | You tribute it for a larger snake. |
| Repilianne Coatl | 1 | You'll find yourself in a place where you may not have a dark reptile, nor easy access to one. However in all other situations, she's a glorious tuner for anything you could hope to make. |
| Repilianne Nyami | 2 | A handtrap. If you can get her on the field easily she makes Sprind in a much less wasteful way. |
| Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Saji | 3 | Your most valid normal summon. Use it to search Ritual every single time. Failure to do that will bite you every time. Don't try to be cute. This is a card game there is no time for that. If you have ritual, search Prayers. |
| Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Kusanagi | 1 | Graverobbing but legal. "Archeology", they call it. |
| Night Sword Serpent | 1 | A great piece of tribute fodder or indeed an easy synchro material. I dunno why its water but thanks for that! |
| Ragnaraika Armored Lizard | 1 | Banish something dumb for material you can use for King. |
| Tearlaments Scheiren | 1 | Special summon for nothing, cast some fellows into the GY and use her to make King. |

| Vanguard of the Underground Emperor | 1 | Nobody talked about him because nobody knew he was there, but I went looking, I found him, and I deem him worthy. Cash him in for anything, including an Arms summon. |
| Therion "Empress" Alasia | 1 | See Zohah for more information, its actually a pretty good strat. |
| Ame no Murakumo no Mitsurugi | 2 | The Attacker. The Field Wiper. The Nibriu Benefiter. |

| Repilianne Ramifications | 3 | Add Coatl if you can summon her immedately, or Naymi on turn 2. |

| Haggard Lizardose | 1 | This is what I'd use if I was laddering into Sprind. It does kinda suck that it banishes for effect but you can just banish Nauya and Reptilianne will get really excited about it. |
