If you are childfree and criticize children, you are just as bad as those who criticize the childfree.
I was at a state park yesterday, and this child-free couple (early 30s?) started to criticize a family who’s young toddlers were a little slow on the hiking trail. Like “c’mon, don’t take your kids here!” And “see honey, I’m glad we didn’t have kids,” And “these trails should have age restrictions!”
They eventually figured out a way to safely pass the family (COVID and all that).
Look, do whatever you want. I respect your choices.
But seriously? Criticizing a family for enjoying nature? Grow up. Some people want to have kids, and introduce them to the world. Take a chill pill, because you’re acting like a Karen (the very person you don’t want to be).
Edit: this was a family friendly hiking trail. It literally said “easy” at the kiosk trail map. The family was keeping the toddlers in line, they were not misbehaving.
Edit 2: I’m getting downvotes....I’m on r/unpopularopinion, right? Isn’t this sub for unpopular opinions?
