Why Edward Didn't Look Like A Vampire (movies)

While looking at the Twilight cover, I kept wondering to myself, "why is the arm and hand so aesthetically pleasing?", and I think it's because it is hairless and shows off the definition of the muscle. (sorry if this was obvious but I am slow)

For the same reason, I think that this is part of what made Edward look more vampiric in the first movie and less so in the subsequent movies. I want to support my case by saying that the shirtless sparkling scene, the shirtless New Moon scene where he almost steps into the sun, were probably met with derision, at least partially, by the fact that his body is hairless in the first movie besides his chest for some reason, and it seems to also be the case in the second. It just looks so silly to be totally smooth everywhere and then when he intentionally shows off additional skin, there is hair. It just doesn't make sense.

Also, in "Battle Shckars" scene, with Jasper, when he shows off his arms, they seem hairless. It's inconsistent, because in both scenes the point is a focus on the body but with different features, being hair in this case, but differs between the two vampires.

It doesn't really matter, but I only just noticed. I think the effect was subconsciously large though, and people noticed the effect even if they didn't notice why.
