Anyone else think Rudy’s offense has improved over the course of the season?
I’ve watched almost every game and pre-All-star break (that was weird to type out) I physically cringed when Rudy got the ball in the post. He just literally dropped the ball way too often and his footwork was the opposite of a dream shake. The only consistent value he had on that end, to me, were lobs, picks, and the occasional put back. Now though, I see a different player. He actually performs some slick post moves. When he gets in a jam, he finds open guys on the perimeter for high % 3s, almost acting as a serviceable facilitator. He doesn’t have the regular butterfingers. I thought you couldn’t teach an old dog new tricks, and his impact on the defensive end more than made up for it, but with a newly-found offensive bag this version of Rudy looks better than ever. Is it just me?
