Lights are an impossible situation
The fundamental issue of lights is that their specializations value is proportional to the skill of the opponents
how effectively the enemy can track them and hit their shots varies drastically from casual to competitive
A casual player using an off meta weapon with unfamiliar recoil is of course going to struggle to hit a light mid grapple compared to a competitive player that could do it with ease
This is opposed to a specialization like mesh shield where it does not matter how good the other player it will always block shots and add value
More team play, better positioning, recoil familiarity, and game awareness make lights mobility in a competitive scene almost worthless
The drop off in light specialization value in competitive leads to light having the highest DPS weapons and absurd gadgets just to be barely viable. Meanwhile becoming even more oppressive in casual
This creates an impossible situation of balancing that can only be properly addressed by making a radical change to the light class specializations itself
