Where do I get the good weapons?

So far the best things I’ve found are the bokoblin arms which is 20 damage and those are super rare and breaks after a few hits. I’m almost out of weapons. I’m starting to run into the same problem I did with BOTW which gave me no choice but to stop playing because all was able to do was try to dodge enemies attacks while trying to find weapons. The weapons that only does 5 and 6 damage are obsolete now. They do nothing to the enemies.
