Rewatch the 40s to feel better about them

Alright, so I’ve been going through absolute hell in my personal life and to cope with it, I’ve rewatched all of survivor (yes all of it) to stay in a happy place. As a big hater of the 40s seasons originally, I dreaded rewatching those, but as I did, I realized that they’re actually not bad. Aside from the hourglass and do or die twists, they’re actually pretty great. There’s some amazing characters, gameplay, moments, and overall outcomes, and I think coming to terms with the fact that the format has changed indefinitely helps you appreciate these seasons more for what they offer. I still miss things from the pre-40 seasons and will always cherish them greatly, but I’m glad I’m finally coming to terms with what the new era has to offer, and the fact that we still get to watch this show that we all know and love.
