Moments where the music aligns perfectly with the moment?
So I've curated a good portion of my personal playlist from this show, and there's moments where the song chosen perfectly matches the moment it's played in.
Such examples I personally really like:
- Harvey goes to visit his dads grave while the song "Wish You Were Here" is playing
- Harvey and Louis get Mike and Harold out from being detained - the song "How You Like Me Now?" is playing, and it cuts to Mike and Harvey getting out of Ray's towncar when the song says "...I've been a bad bad bad bad man"
- Harvey turns an evening out with Mike into handing him a subpoena, while "Natural" is playing. The whole scene shows you how much Harvey doesn't want to be in this fight, but that he knows he has to win despite the misery it's causing him. The scene cuts to Harvey's face of resilience as the song goes "...I'm gonna make it"
- Donna kisses Harvey to see if she feels anything, while the song "Waves" is playing. The song plays throughout the scene leading up to the kiss, while Louis is explaining to her the disappointment of not being with the one you love.
- Harvey loads Mike up in the car to go to prison, while "Way Down We Go" plays and Rachel onlooks in her wedding dress. Song continues playing while Donna, Jessica, and Louis return to the firm to find it completely empty.
- Mike gets off the elevator after finding out Jessica knows he's a fraud as the song "Smoke and Mirrors" plays. He looks around, somewhat deliriously as "...you're a fraud and you know it..." is sung.
