Barely any prep pre-op

I’ve been following along the posts on this sub and I think it’s interesting to see the difference between different prep that people had/have to do before their bisalp. I was not instructed to do anything pre-op besides fast and not take any major blood thinners. No bowel stuff, no nothing lol. I was instructed to shower the morning of with just regular soap and that was basically that. Nothing major after surgery either. No opioids, no post-op pee requirement before leaving, nada. There was no post-op appointment either. All they did was call me the next day and asked if the over-the-counter meds I was on (paracetamol and ibuprofen) were enough, and how I was doing. This was through a public healthcare hospital btw.

I’m totally fine now all things considered, it was a rough few days, but I survived.

Anybody else have a similar experience to me? I’m 19 years old, for reference, if it matters haha
