Is solar still worth it in CA today?
I’m in SoCal, with SCE, and currently paying $0.25 per kWh. I use about 1200 kwh/mo. I read that with NEM 3.0, going solar isn’t as worth it as it used to be. Is this the case?
I’m looking to get around 15-17 panels, and I’d finance it. There’s a lot of info and I’m a bit lost on how it all works, how I’d benefit, and how I’d save money. I also own an EV.
Do the numbers make sense anymore to invest in solar?
I also got a quote from Sunrun to lease solar but I don’t believe it’s worth it with a 2.99% annual escalator, and the fact that I’ll never own it, and their rate was quoted at $0.23/kwh.
