Assessing for potential language processing disorder in a 11 y/o
I'm new to working in school systems and had a Gr 6 student referred for assessment to rule out auditory comprehension/language processing. He scored moderate-low on the Language Processing Test 3 (particularly low on Multiple Meanings and Attributes subtests). Would you do further language assessment? (ie. The CELF 5 or TOLD?) Would you consider other assessments?
The school team is looking for collateral info and potential further assessment by the school psychologist. (I work in Canada and am spread between multiple schools so I'm not able to do much more beyond assessment and some classroom strategy recommendations).
Thanks!
