Another post to encourage you
I recently saw multiple posts saying to just let the baby cry even if you don't feel sure about it. My boy is 6 months in 3 days and had never slept more than 4 hours at a time. And that was 2 months ago, after 4m regression he woke every 3 hours if not less.
I was sooooo sceptical. Lurking here, confused and sleep deprived. I hate hearing him cry. I started Ferber with the guide Huckleberry has on their website. Can find easily. We use the app and it seemed like a good guide with how often to do check ins. Not promoting anything I'm associated with, just sharing if you are as confused as I was for how to do it step by step.
I started a week ago and he has slept 11 hours the last 3 nights. First two, he asked for 1 feed. This night he slept through the whole night. I cannot believe it!! Only a week ago he was up every 2-3 hours and just letting him cry made him sleep 11 hours straight?!
I also removed his pacifier as I was tired of giving it back to him every few hours. He's completely forgotten about it.
If you're on the fence, I encourage you to try. It sucks but it might just work. Nothing changed in his personality, he's a happy boy playing all day between his naps. And me too! I feel like a new person :)
