First time seizure, I'm her partner and bit scared.
My (29f) partner has had two seizures with 1 week with her second one tonight, CT scan seemed fine she's bitten her tongue again which is really swollen now, no body twitches she went limp but her left side of face went numb and she was twitching her head hard right.
The seizure lasted about 4 almost 5 minutes ambulance was called I held her in the best position possible. We have no idea what is causing this and witnessing it first hand really hit me hard I'm staying as strong as I can for our 6 year old boy.
They gave her medication tonight to help her I'll also mention her older sister has epilepsy and a related cousin has seizures. Do they come this late?
Both times it's happend she was chewing something , first a Starburst and then a potato chip.
Happy to answer any question to get some understanding on this. The doctor at the hospital was stumped aswell since the body was limp ? When she came too she knew my name and how many fingers I help up.
Update: she's had 3 in total now, the third was exactly 4 days apart at around exact time of day, have upped her dosage of everit and had her on IV overnight to get to stable levels, also taking clobazam. Coming towards the 4th day I'm on high alert watching. Sorry for late reply it's been a chaotic week
