iPhone 15 Rode wireless Go 2 (single set) not connecting

I have an iPhone 15 which has a USB-C charging port. I bought a usb-C to usb-C cable and I have my phone connected to the one with the screen on it and my recorder on my phone is not picking up the audio. Also before anyone asks both the recorder and the transmitter (or whatever you call them) are charged and it is indicating to me that they are both connected to each other. If anyone has any solutions that would be great!
