E-Piano with Rocksmith

Hey.
I'm totally new to Rocksmith and I want to know, if I can connect an E-Piano to a tablet with Rocksmith on it via any cable so that the programm will notice the keys I press on the E-Piano.
Is that possible?
Or do you just see the notes flying and you have to press it, when they reach a certain point?

If this is not possible with an E-Piano, maybe with a smaller keyboard?

So just like Guitar Hero - When I press a Key on a Piano, Rocksmith notices it.
