Werwulf

Was anyone else slightly disappointed with the news that Eggers is making “Werwulf”?

I’m sure he will do something great with it, but after an artsy psychological jewel like the Lighthouse or a major historical dive like Northman, (another folktale, I realize) it seems like he has the potential to create something more special than just monster movies with cultural relevance.

Of course, I may be biased because I don’t love classic horror archetypes like that, and I understand that his work is inspired by folklore. It just seems like a western or medieval style film would be more fulfilling from him right now, especially after “Nosferatu”.
