Looking for ideas of games to play

Do dogs grow into liking balls more and can you typically tell what their preferences are right off the bat? My 15 week old Boxer lovessss playing tug but will just watch a ball roll or bounce and either ignore it or wait for it to stop then go pick it up to chew on it. He’s not super into chasing it.

He does really like the flirt pole so I know he does like chasing some things. Is there a way to train him to like playing with a ball more or is he just never going to like it? I’m working on him chasing a tug toy and bringing it back to play but I still think he’s just doing that for the reward of tugging not actually liking the running after it part.

Does anyone have suggestions for other games we can play together besides just tug? He’s in puppy agility classes, but I’m looking for more at home games
