need some music suggestions

I'm looking for some recommendations for obscure 70's era spacey, trippy psychedelic bands or albums that have some heaviness to them. kinda like Hawkwind, but with a bit more of a Black Sabbath vibe... not quite metal, but a tad heavier than your typical rock band of that time.
