I’m sick of people making pregnancy/kids seem like the end of your life.

This is my first pregnancy. I’ll be turning 29 years old in a few weeks. I’m SO sick of social media and people I encounter in real life making it seem like having kids is the end of your life and marriage/relationship. While I understand that things change, don’t put YOUR situation/experience on others. Just because YOU let yourself go, let your relationship go, doesn’t mean I or others will. I swear people hate to see other people happy when they’re not. They literally just scream jealousy. This narrative is disgusting in my opinion and it gives major “I hate my kids and only got pregnant for the show of it” vibes. Like even women I work with are like enjoy your life while you don’t have kids because life sucks after. Idk maybe I’m being slightly insensitive, but lord. Pregnancy is NOT easy by any means I get it. But I’m putting in the work to not lose who I am as a person, and not lose the spark in my marriage. Maybe I’m just lucky. Anyway, keep your negativity to yourselves!!! (Not about anything in this page).
