Flipping my septum - question!

So, I got my septum pierced yesterday, and I absolutely love it. Pierced in the right place, not too bad pain-wise and a cute horseshoe barbell in.

However for SOME reason my piercer refused to flip it up for me - he said to leave it and don’t flip it up. I explained it would be staying flipped up for at least 3 months for me whilst I let it heal, but he flat out refused to flip the jewellery up for me which I suppose is his call at the end of the day.

However, all my friends have healed theirs flipped up (those who have them that is) and never had an issue. For me, it’s going to be easier to have it flipped up for work and my family whilst it heals. I would be flipping it up and LEAVING it up for the time it takes to heal however long that may be

My question is - how the hell do I flip it up now?! I’ve watched videos, I’ve tried the “home alone” face and tried to flip it up after soaking it in a SSS for a few minutes. There’s no crusties or dried blood holding the jewellery in place or anything. I think it’s as my horseshoe is too closed if that makes sense. But my piercer is closed today and even if they weren’t I don’t think he’d widen the horseshoe for me as he is so strongly against me flipping it up.

What can I do in this situation? Try widen the jewellery myself? I really don’t want to irritate my new piercing by messing with it but ideally I need to flip it up.

All advice welcome!
