I want to buy New World

This game has so much potential (as someone who's put over 1k hours into like every mainstream mmo: OSRS, ESO, WoW, FFXI, FFXIV, Lost Ark in particular) and this game feels special to me in like every way the lore and music are something I may diverge from the masses and enjoy, I think the corruption and island have a lot of potential.

That being said, it feels like, to AGS, this is a side-chick to them (I wont attack the dev team as someone who's worked in a subsidiary, corpo budget =/= subsidiary budget). This game could be a solid top 5 mmo with a team that communicates like OSRS and (to their credit in TWW) Blizzard and implements constant updates and community involvement. I watched this game die once and I fear that Amazon will just fumble again and sunset it finally.

Before law school, I worked in a wallstreet boiler room loan company and I've seen millions get doled out for bs vanity projects that have 0 viability and it makes me want to try to buy New World from Amazon. Maybe i'm underestimating the overhead and complexities of a live service game but New World needs a company that lives/breathes this game as a passion. Like, say what you want about Ion Hazzicostas, but he loved wow so much, he left a top 10 law firm and took a huge pay cut to work on his passion. Thats what new world needs.

Part of me wants to snoop around my law firm/college contacts and find a person to bring this up to but I really dont want to watch this game die again. It hits different.
