Kestrel for a middle name

What are thoughts on Kestrel for a middle name? My grandfather died about a year ago and was a huge birder. His favorite bird was the American Kestrel. We are naming our baby Finn and my grandpa’s first name was also one syllable so I don’t love how it’s flows but wanted to think of a different way to honor him. Is Kestrel a goofy middle name? I keep going back and forth.
