no jlpt certificate when applying to mext under UG program

Hi, I'm applying for the MEXT undergraduate program for 2026, but I missed the application period to take the JLPT in my country. The next test will probably be available around July next year, which will be after the MEXT application deadline.

Is it alright to inform my embassy that I don't have a JLPT certificate at the moment, but that I plan to take it a few months after the MEXT application deadline?I'm feeling lost as I couldn't find any information regarding this issue in the embassy's instructions.
