My macbook that I recently made headless stopped giving a video output

My 13 inch macbook pro 2017 recently had its display get broken by a backlight issue so I made it a headless macbook

Recently it hasn't been giving a video output and I was wondering if there was a way to fix that

Also I am aware that the battery is puffed up to a very extreme level and I am planning to get rid of it but I just need to retrieve a little bit of data from the device before I do
