MacBook Air M2 - stuck in remote management

I have a MacBook Air M2 15” I bought off my company. The service provider confirmed that the machine has been released from the managed engine MdM but everytime I go to activate it for personal use, it says it is managed and still belongs to the company. I have wiped the disk, restored MacOS but still doesn’t change anything. Service provider is stuck and said it maybe that my machine still thinks it is managed and therefore auto goes to this, even though they say it is no longer managed, but we don’t know how to stop it so I can use the Mac I’ve bought.
