REFInd vs GRUB (and others). Why is rEFInd less popular?

I have been using rEFInd as my boot manger for more than 2 years.

Works fine on Arch, Fedora, Debian and MX linux(distros I tried)

Dual booting with windows works like a charm.

Only drawback maybe that it doesn't support legacy bios.

Other than that it's very functional and the customisation are really great.

Setting it up is simple and smooth.

All these plus points but it's not the default in any distros. They use GRUB or systemd-boot

Why is this the case?

PS : I switched from grub because rEFInd has easier dual booting
