Open cast on too loose?

I’m making a hood that started with an open cast on that was later closed up to form the channel for the drawstring. I closed it up and the stitch’s from the open cast on are very loose, I don’t plan on trying to really stretch this with blocking just soaking at the end, would the loose tension on on these very first stitches mess up the rest of the hood if they’re stitched together with another stitch?
