How often do they go to the toilet?

How often do your kitten go to the toilet?

We have a 10 year old cat (and dog) and is soon getting a new kitten. But it’s so long since my old boy was a baby, so I’ve forgotten how often he needed to use the toilet when we got him.

If the little one sleeps in bed with us, will he understand how to go to the toilet in the night? Or should he be sleeping on his own, close to his litter box?

We’ve also bought a “kitten bin” where he will be when we start introducing him to our dog and old cat. Should we see if we can fit a litter box in there to?
