Sometimes I hate when books have updates

I get why a kindle book would have an update. There might be some spelling mistakes that were fixed or spacing of words. But sometimes I hate the updates because it changes the covers of the books to a version I don’t really like. I wish there was a way we could choose our favorite covers. I just had I think close to a dozen Stephen King books update and the covers changed. Some or better but some I don’t like. I turned off auto update so that it does change the covers for my favorites The Dark Tower series
