iOS 17.1.2 lowering volume of Spotify when phones wakes

Since upgrading to iOS 17 (iPhone 12 mini) whenever I am listening to Spotify and touch my screen to wake or lift the phone to wake, it lowers the volume massively but when you view the slider it has remained in the same position. So the volume reduces and you’re unable to turn it up and I have to exit Spotify and reopen to reset the volume.

Has anyone else had the same thing?
