How did Denver find out about Bonnie's child?

Denver had files on Bonnie. If she told the jury the baby was born dead back in 2002, how did Denver find out the baby was actually alive and stolen from the hospital? Who told him that? How did Denver presume Bonnie's father lied when he told her the baby was dead?
