LG C2 Failed, Curious About Expected Lifespan

I’m going to do my best to keep this post from sounding too bitter. I am not too familiar with the new TVs and brands.

The reason I’m posting is my LG C2 has failed after 24 months of owning it. Unfortunately now I’ve found myself researching which TVs to buy again sooner than expected.

As I’m doing this research, I wanted to get an idea of if others have had a similar experience. In my opinion, $1,800 for a product that only lasts 24 months is wildly expensive. ($75/month for a TV)

I really enjoyed the TV but I don’t feel like that’s another gamble I’m wanting to take… My previous Sony TV lasted me 10 years and it still worked in the end. I only replaced it because I wanted to try an OLED, then donated my Sony.

I know that 10 years is a bit unrealistic for a TV lifespan, but I was also hoping 2 years was too.

I guess I’m mostly curious about if certain brands have a reputation of having a longer life span than others. And what are realistic expectations to have?

For anyone curious about my TV, just over the 24 month mark a white vertical line appeared. I dealt with it, because it would go in and out. But now the TV won’t power on and is completely dead.
