The ever evolving tech burnout

I am really tired of being told there’s a brand new program to learn every few months. I went to school to learn one profession, and now in the industry it feels like all of that was just the bare bones and I’m expected to know 400 programs inside and out. I really draw the line when it comes to web coding. I want to design, not code! And Figma is pushing it too…

Graphics designers are not motion designers, motion designers are not web designers, web designers are not photographers, etc etc etc…….

Yet companies want everything, for abysmal salaries.

Companies squishing all these roles into one has to stop. And it sucks, because what other roles can this degree even transition into smoothly? More marketing, more of the same?

Anyone else feel this crunch lately?
