My Heart Wants FUJIFILM but my mind....

Hey all,

I've been a photographer for a few years now and have loved the journey. I shoot all kinds of styles. I travel a lot, so lots of lifestyle + travel photos (and some video) Ive done portrait work, food/product photography, and I just had my first paid gig working with an interior designer showcasing her work.

I currently shoot with a Sony A6400. I love the little guy but am starting to feel im pushing the limits of its capabilities. I would love IBIS for handheld video + low light shots and just better low light performance in general.

I enjoy editing photos, although I have to say Sony Raw files def need some work. Ive shot Fuji a bit an I just love the colors with their film simulations but I've heard horror stories of autofocus issues with Fuji Cameras. But damn, I just have a good time shooting with them and that's the whole reason I got into photography/videography... for the love of the process.

It's time to upgrade soon, and the obvious path is to get something like a Sony A74. Seems like Sony really does everything well. My only complaint is it definitely feels more fun shooting with something like a Fuji film camera, and the colors SOOC on Sony cameras just aren't great, although they are super flexible and can be edited.

I need a camera I can grow more into, and make sure it won't limit me if I get opportunities to shoot outside of my current realm. I.e a wedding or a more high stakes you got one shot to get this right kind deal.

TLDR: Wanting to upgrade from Sony a6400, convince me why I shouldn't upgrade to something like a Sony A74 and make switch to FUJI instead...
