Fujifilm X-E2 Shutter Button Issue – Half-Press for Focus Not Working, Only Full Press Works

Hey Fujifilm fam!

I’ve been loving my Fujifilm X-E2 for years, but recently I’ve run into an issue with the shutter button. It only works when I press it all the way down, and it no longer responds to a soft press for focusing. This makes it really difficult to use, especially for half-press focusing.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, were you able to fix it yourself, or did you have to send it in for repairs? I’m curious if this is a common issue with the X-E2 or similar Fujifilm cameras.

Also, if anyone has an idea of what the repair costs might look like (or if it’s worth repairing vs. upgrading), I’d really appreciate the insight!
