Problem with Xbox game pass + Pc xbox game pass Crossplay

with my friend we ultimate pass on Xbox, with game share turned on, so friend is playing on the console, and I'm playing on PC's Xbox app, on his game pass. Problem is that, he was not able to get friend request from me in game, in order to play together.
