Choosing Between Book Pick Overlaps
So now that FairyLoot's posted their December Adult Book-Only "aesthetic reel" and Autumn's put in her guess... seems like there's another crossover between the book picks (OwlCrate & FairyLoot). Which edition is everyone going for, and why?
I know this is fairly common, happens quite frequently... and sometimes, publishers have their own separate SE of their own (like Waterstones/B&N, or the USA publication for "The Coven" *, etc*). No complains, or anything! But I'm curious to know what everyone does, when it involves book subscriptions "monthly boxes" that you're committed to? To name a few...
"The Courting of Bristol Keats" (OwlCrate November Adult & FairyLoot December Adult & Waterstones SE)
"The Teller of Small Fortunes" (OwlCrate December Adult & FairyLoot November Adult)
"For She is Wrath" (OwlCrate & FairyLoot November YA)
"The Stars are Dying" (OwlCrate October Adult & BookishBox September Adult)
Does it come down to your skips? Or do you choose based on aesthetics, maybe? What about in a scenario when not all the information (like artist line-ups), have yet to be released, and you have to make a wild guess on which you think you like more? Do you buy both and try to unhaul the second (sadly, this isn't an option for me, when I live in a country where SE collecting is niche & a luxury).
Just wanted to hear what everyone's thoughts/plans are, when it comes to choosing between which SE to get? Either in any of these scenarios, or for any other in the past! ♥
