How do y'all live life with it being inherently meaningless?

I'm an ex-christian and although I am convinced of atheism, I can't help but feel like life is inherently meaningless sometimes. I know that we have to create our own meaning and the experience of life alone is well worth it but it gets a little saddening sometimes. Nihilism occasionally kicks in and I was curious if y'all ever miss being a Christian for the purpose it gave y'all?
