Roots 3 bug

I've been trying to access the spell library, been holding the staff in my right hand like the book says and pressing Shift+O(default keybind) and tried swapping to another keybind. Regardless it still doesn't bring up my spell library overlay even though i've learned spells. I was wondering if anyone here knew a fix to this. I'm playing on a bisect server if that matters at all.
