Will my cat ever stop being scared of sudden movements?
Hi there! We adopted a black kitten, on Black Friday of last year from this wonderful no kill rescue in our area. She had been there a few months, and she happened to bond with my 8 year old daughter, so naturally we chose her. What’s funny is we were actually there to look at another cat. On her notes it said extremely shy, unsure about other cats. She looked sad, and wasn’t really interacting with people. We brought her home, and it took her about a week to come out from underneath my teenagers bed, we kept here in his room until she started to warm up to us more. Now she comes out, and roams around the whole house, but she’s still very scared of sudden movements. If anyone approaches her too quickly, or if we get up from the couch too fast, she will take off running scared into my teenagers room or daughters. Is this something she will eventually stop doing? I want her to be comfortable.
