Bots aren't responding to inital greeting--My thoughts so far
I’ve been messing around on this site for about a week now. I discovered it on Tik Tok after Character.Ai’s new policies and censorship came out. I was looking for a new site to roleplay with my favourite characters.
So far it’s a decent site. It could use a lot of work especially because of all the bugs. Like the bots spawning tails and wrapping them around my waist after every inconvenience. I am not yucking anyones yum but not every character needs to curl their tail or flatten their ears, especially if they are human.
I’ve also noticed that they do not respond to the greeting message and they seem to do their own thing. Similarly if you leave the chat and go back and try to roleplay again it seems like they don’t remember the last messages. They will make up something that has nothing to do with your last conversation instead of picking back up where you left off.
I decided to make a character also as this site isn’t extremely popular yet so there's a lot of characters I love that just don’t have bots yet. The process was ok I guess I do wish there was more information on the web to help with the bot making. Maybe a tutorial discussing what each thing means especially for the “Text” part of bot creation. I do also wish that you could see what your bot would look like before you publish it. Because I would've known that the picture for the bot was blurry. I tried to go back in and edit it after I published it and I may be stupid but there was no edit or delete option for my character which I thought was odd.
Also another thing. Formatting. When I am roleplaying I tried to space out my walls of text using the “Enter” key on my keyboard as it’s worked with on every other ai website. But instead of giving me a separation line even when I did it twice. It just puts them directly under the other line.

Instead of this.
I am having a difficult time trying to figure out all the little text hacks. But maybe it's a user error I don’t know. Either way so far a good site despite its bugs. I do hope that the creators and everyone involved do listen to their users instead of getting offended and not being able to accept criticism. :D
