What can a recruiter transition into?
I’ve been a recruiter for a few years now and hate it. But I honestly don’t know what a good next step is to take. My husband tells me recruiting is a low hanging fruit job and anyone can be one and it attracts a lot of dumb and lazy people. I was a recruiter for Meta and he said he wasn’t talking about me; that I’m different bc I worked for better companies and my roles I recruited for were more niche. But it still hurt to hear that that’s how he thinks of recruiters in general. So in addition to being burnt out by recruiters always being the first to be laid off, I want to transition into a career that he’d be proud of and that won’t illicit that kind of reaction and a bit more stable.
Formers recruiters, what have you changed to?
