Just passed with AT/AT/AT/AT

Studying took me two months full-time, including all the procrastination and distractions. I wouldn't suggest every candidate needs taking that much time. It took me that long mostly because I created an extensive mindmap of the entire syllabus, which in hindsight helped a lot in retaining the important stuff, but ended up being quite time consuming.

I used the CAPM Exam Prep reference from PMI and Pearson as my main go-to for studying. I would read the book, and add key topics to my mindmap.

I was recommended by a colleague subscribing to the RMC Fastrack exam simulator. I asked for feedback on that in this forum but got no answers, so here's my own feedback in case aspiring candidates are interested: it's no good. The questions seem like they were never updated to the 7th Edition of the PMBOK with heavy emphasis on ITTOs and processs, and way too short on BA aspects.

Landini's questions were more interesting and resembled the actual exam somewhat. Since I had access to the Exam Prep reference, I could access two sets of 150 questions on their website, which were equally helpful. Finally, I tried the 60 free questions of Pocket Prep a bit too late for me to make a worthwhile purchase, so I don't have as much to say about those than other people do, but I would take these over the RMC ones in a heartbeat.

Another aspect in which making that mindmap help was during grinding questions. Whenever I found myself stumped with a question or with a bunch of words I did not recognize, I would go over to the practice guides and search for them, then add the important bits to my mindmap. This helped tremendously with filling the gaps in my knowledge.

I would not advise taking the same exam over and over again. By the end of it, you will be memorising the question rather than thinking about it, and you will be clicking the correct answer without a second thought.

Good luck to everyone who's planning to go for this exam! It is one tough cookie, but if I can do it, so can you :)
