My breath is getting worse
I’ve recently been diagnosed with stage II moderately differentiated squamous cell lung cancer. My doctor mentioned that it’s a slow-growing type. I started chemotherapy last Saturday, but I’ve been struggling with severe shortness of breath. Even the smallest effort leaves me exhausted and weak.
I can’t even go to the bathroom, so I have to use a bottle while staying in my room because any movement feels unbearable, like I might run out of air. A PET scan showed no spread outside the lung, and the tumor is confined to the upper part of my right lung.
I have a couple of questions:
Is there hope for improvement with treatment?
Will I ever be able to regain my breath and strength?
Could my inability to eat properly be making things worse?
