[pjo] So my dad just started reading The Lightning Thief, and here are some of his thoughts.

He said he likes it so far! He just got past the part where Percy makes the toilets explode, which tipped him off to his dad being Poseidon. His only problem so far is how seemingly unaffected Percy was by Sally’s “death”.

A couple years back, I told him about the villain being Kronos when I didn’t think he would read the book. However, thankfully, he has a really bad memory, so he has forgotten about it, and has assumed that Hades is the villain because he usually is in modern Greek mythology adaptations. And I think that’s fun, because I like seeing people reading stuff that I’ve read falling for the red herrings.
