Hanging rings from two stairs?
hi, I saw a previous post talking about using stairs to hang rings but it didn't address my own question. My question is fairly specific and I want to make sure I don't injure myself/damage something!
I've got rings for the first time. I'm relatively beginner, maybe edging towards intermediate, but I thought I may aswell start on gym rings sooner rather than later.
There are fairly limited options for hanging rings outdoors in my immediate vicinity so I'd like to try out hanging them at home, and from my stairwell seems to be the only option.
The previous post (here https://www.reddit.com/r/bodyweightfitness/comments/bjtfgh/gymnastic_rings_mounted_under_stairs_good_or_bad/) spoke about using carabiners etc but I'm hoping I can skip that side of things if possible.
To me it looks like I can hang the rings directly from my stairs without using e.g. runner and carabiners, but I can't tell if my setup will cause issues. i have each ring hanging from a different stair, levelling their heights with the strap, to try and keep them a little apart.
I know the straps and stairs will hold just fine - so my main query I guess is there an issue in terms of placement/angle etc the way the rings are hanging that will prevent my doing various exercises?
I plan on doing the usual stuff - dips, pull ups, ring push ups, etc.
Can someone have a look at my setup and let me know if I need to adjust anything? If so and e.g. i need carabiner plus some rope, what specific material might work well for the rope? Thanks in advance!
