Should I buy an S1000RR??
Hey, I'm looking to upgrade bikes next season around April/May. My dream bike has always been an S1000RR (Yes unoriginal but it's my favourite), and I want to save from now until then and have my dream bike. My one question for anyone with knowledge or any S1K owners is, is it worth it? is it worth the money? I hear a lot of negative things about the S1K from fork seals leaking right off the lot, to the bike just not being worth it. But personally I believe people with negative views or opinions on things will always speak out about them compared to the huge percent of people who have positive things to say about it. So I'm curious, how is the S1K? for its money and in general is it a GOOD, WORTH, bike? Lastly, I hear people complain about the S1K's "Dead Zone" where apparently between certain RPM ranges (I think it was like 4k-8k or something) it has "less power than a 300cc" or is just very weak, I've heard people also call this a "Factory Detune". I'm just curious if what people are saying about this is true (heard something where the newer S1K's may not have this dead zone problem? if anyone with a 2023/2024/2025 one has any info I'd appreciate it) , and if so is it this significant, and are all the facts true? I've heard you can get a tune to fix the dead zone problem but curious what yall think. If you have any other things to say about the S1K it's greatly appreciated aswell. And for the record I probably plan on getting a 24/25 S1K if I do. Thanks for any info shared :)
FYI this is a video by Mathew Woods, he talked about the fork seals before the part that it is pinned at, the video is pinned at the part where he refers to the "Dead Zone" in case anyone is confused with what im talking about :
